Kings Hill Virtual Music Concert 2021
This year our music lessons have been different, but the children have adapted marvellously to this. From completing music lessons at home, virtually, with their families to socially distancing in the hall to play a variety of instruments, they have completed some amazing work. We wanted to celebrate all this hard work with our school community with our end of year music concert.
Due to COVID restrictions, we are unable to invite parents into the hall to watch the concert in person. All the children played the instrument live at the time of recording. Links to the concert are below, as well as you being able to find the video in the video resource centre tab under Artsmark. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.
Kings Hill would like to say a big thank you to Rock it Music Projects Ltd and Mr Spence for helping us put together our virtual music concert. We hope you enjoy Kings Hill’s Virtual Music Concert 2021.
Thank you
Mr Chatterley
New Horizons Digital Dance Festival December 2020
On Tuesday 15th December 2020 pupils from Year 5 took part in New Horizons Digital Dance Festival. It was hosted by Black Country Dance Hub (BCDH) and was broadcast live over Facebook and YouTube.
The festival was open to Schools, Colleges, Universities and Community Dance Groups. It was a celebration of dance performances created and put in a film format before, during or after Lockdown. BCDH then combined all dance recordings into a professionally edited dance festival film to celebrate the wealth and talent of all the young dancers called “Children & Young People performing in a changing world”
The whole festival was a huge success and the children (and staff) really enjoyed taking part. On the night, Kings Hill received lots of positive feedback.
“What gorgeous dancing students.”
“This is so powerful, the children are really focused”
“Fabulous Kings Hill”
“My daughters are transfixed – they wished their primary school had done this”
“Wonderful. Loving this … following the sun. Beautiful.”
“Fantastic well done Kings Hill Primary School”
You will be able to watch the complete dance performance below.
Finally a big thank you to Mrs Hendrix for choreographing the performance, the Year 5 pupils for all their hard work and Mark Anderson who helped to edit the film.
New Horizons” was made possible through the Arts Council Emergency Response Fund due to COVID -19.

Some important information
Technical Issues: If performers/audience members are watching via BCDH Facebook page live. Depending on the type of platform/device they are using, sometimes Facebook will mute the music. If this happens they must click on the link that will be put in the Facebook chat box at the beginning of the festival. This will re-direct the audience to the Youtube live premiere.
Please minimise other internet use at the same time as watching the New Horizons Premieres (Zoom calls, Netflix, on phones being used in the house at the same time) as this can have an impact on image quality.
Thank you for your co-operation.
