FOOD FOR LIFE AT
KING'S HILL PRIMARY SCHOOL
What is Food for Life?
Food for Life brings the school community together around the core ethos of healthy, tasty and sustainable food.
At King’s Hill, we are working hard to achieve our Bronze Award - to do this we have worked to a set of criteria and provided evidence of our school development.
Hopefully, we will achieve this very soon!
SNAG Group
We have set up a SNAG group (School Nutrition Action Group). This has been formed with pupils from Years Four and Five and Mrs Hendrix the Assistant Head Teacher. The SNAG group meets once each half-term and has responsibility for the development of food culture in school.
Questionnaires
The children in SNAG surveyed their peers about various aspects related to school meals, packed lunches and the dining experience at King’s Hill. Once the results have been collated, SNAG will be making recommendations to Mrs Matharu, the Headteacher, about how we can continue to make improvements to aspects of school meals.
